› Quick Start

IRONTOWN is an onchain idle mining game built on the Solana blockchain. Players hire miners, send them into the mine, and earn a fixed daily $IRON reward based on each miner's Mining Production Rate (MPR).

01Connect your Solana wallet. During Early Access, use the wallet you registered with (see §02).
02Hire your first miner on the Mint page. The free Vagrant Citizen cannot mine, so you will need a paid miner to start mining.
03Send your miner into the mine.
04Your miner begins contributing MPR.
05Earn a fixed daily $IRON reward per miner.
06Claim your accumulated $IRON.
07Hire stronger and rarer miners.
08Use Exploration to discover gear and grow stronger.
09Expand your mining operation and increase your MPR.
§ 02

★ Early Access

IRONTOWN opens in stages. Before the game opens to everyone, there is an Early Access period for registered players. The current stage is shown at the top of the homepage and on the Mint page.

01Register on the homepage: follow @PlayIRONTOWN, finish the steps and claim your spot. You get your own permit number and invite code.
02Link your wallet by signing a free message. It is not a transaction and moves no funds.
03Open the Mint page with that same wallet. During Early Access only registered wallets can mint, and only some of the miners are available.
ⓘWhen Early Access ends and the game opens to everyone, all miners become available to all players.

Founding Crew Badge

The first 100 players to register receive the Founding Crew badge. It is shown on the homepage next to your permit number.

First Vein Badge & Airdrop

🎁The first 100 players to buy a miner will receive an airdrop and a blue First Vein badge, shown on the homepage next to your permit number once your wallet is linked to your registration.

The airdrop reward is random. Each of the 100 players receives one of the following:

01$IRON, which can be converted to SOL.
02Exploration Gear to strengthen your miners.
03A rare miner, with a small chance.

Only the first 100 players to buy a miner are included, and the reward each player gets is decided at random.

§ 03

⛏ Core Gameplay

IRONTOWN is built around one simple objective: Build the strongest mining operation in town.

Players hire miners with different rarities and production rates. Once deployed to the mine, each miner contributes its MPR to the player's total production power.

Each miner you deploy earns its own fixed daily $IRON reward based on its MPR -- boosted further by your Mini Mine level and any equipped Exploration Gear.

Growing in IRONTOWN isn't only about hiring more miners. Through the Exploration system, miners have a chance to discover Exploration Pieces after each mining run — permanent gear that boosts a miner's MPR or Mining Speed.

§ 04

⛏ Miners

Miners are the heart of IRONTOWN. Every miner has a Mining Production Rate (MPR) that represents their digging power. Higher-tier miners provide more MPR and a bigger fixed daily $IRON reward.

🎒Vagrant Citizen -- Free Starter: every wallet can claim one, once, for free. It is not given automatically: connect your wallet on the Mint page and press CLAIM FREE MINER on the Vagrant Citizen card. He has 0 MPR and can never mine or join a Mine Crew -- his only use is the Adventure feature. He's not tradeable.

⛏ The Mine

The mine is where your miners work. Miners must be deployed to participate in active production.

⚠Miners held in your inventory but not actively deployed do not contribute to your active MPR.

Once working, each eligible miner contributes its MPR toward your total production power. A mining run takes 24 hours by default -- claim once it finishes, then start the next run manually.

💰Build your crew › Increase your MPR › Earn more $IRON.

Mini Mine Upgrades

Every player has their own Mini Mine, upgradeable through 5 levels. Each level costs $IRON and MPR, and gives:

▸+5% $IRON bonus per level (up to +20% at level 5) on every miner's daily reward.
▸+2 Mine Crew slots per level (2 slots at level 1, up to 10 at level 5), letting you run more miners at once.
ⓘUpgrade costs and the exact bonus at your next level are always shown in-game before you confirm.
§ 06

★ Mining Production Rate — MPR

MPR is the core production stat of IRONTOWN. Every miner contributes a fixed amount of MPR while actively mining, and that MPR converts into a fixed daily $IRON reward for that miner alone -- no competing with other players for a shared pool.

Daily Reward by Tier

MinerMPRDaily $IRON Reward
Rookie Miner50≈ 0.0375 $IRON
Ironhorn Miner200≈ 0.1 $IRON
Iron Prime550≈ 0.25 $IRON
Gold Baron1,200≈ 0.5 $IRON

These base amounts can be boosted further by your Mini Mine level and any equipped MPR Exploration Gear.

Total MPR

Your total production power is the combined MPR of all your active deployed miners.

Total Player MPR = Combined MPR of all active miners

Example: 50 + 200 + 550 + 1,200 = 2,000 MPR

Players can own and deploy multiple miners simultaneously -- each one mines and earns independently.

§ 07

💰 $IRON Rewards

$IRON is IRONTOWN's in-game reward currency, backed 1:1 by real SOL. Every miner earns a fixed daily $IRON reward based on its tier -- nothing is shared or split with other players.

What Boosts Your Reward

▸Your Mini Mine level -- +5% per level, up to +20% at level 5.
▸MPR Exploration Gear equipped on that miner -- +3% to +20% per piece, two slots per miner.
📈These bonuses stack -- a fully upgraded Mini Mine plus two legendary MPR pieces meaningfully boosts a single miner's daily $IRON.
§ 08

💰 Claiming Rewards

$IRON rewards accumulate through active gameplay and can be claimed through the IRONTOWN interface. Players manually claim their available rewards to their connected Solana wallet.

≡Claiming requires a Solana transaction and may require a small amount of SOL for network fees.

The amount of $IRON available to claim depends on:

▸Which of your miners have finished their 24-hour mining run.
▸That miner's tier (higher tiers earn more per run).
▸Your Mini Mine level.
▸Any MPR Exploration Gear equipped on that miner.
§ 09

⛏ Exploration

Every mining trip carries a chance of turning up more than just $IRON. Through the Exploration system, miners have a chance to dig up an Exploration Piece the moment their mining run finishes — a permanent piece of gear that makes that miner stronger.

How Exploration Works

01Send a miner into the mine and let them complete a mining run.
02When you claim, that miner has a chance to also discover an Exploration Piece.
03Every miner has its own discovery chance, and higher-rarity miners find pieces more often.
04Discovered pieces are added to your Exploration inventory, ready to be equipped.
05Equip pieces onto a miner's two Exploration slots before sending them back into the mine.

Piece Quality

Every Exploration Piece has a quality tier. Higher tiers give stronger bonuses, but are rarer to find.

QualityBonus
Common+3% MPR or Speed
Uncommon+7% MPR or Speed
Special+12% MPR or Speed
Legendary+20% MPR or Speed

Each piece boosts either a miner's MPR (more $IRON per claim) or their Mining Speed (shorter time between claims) — never both at once.

Discovery Chance by Miner Tier

Every time you claim a finished mining run, that miner has a chance to also dig up a piece. Higher-tier miners find pieces more often, and are also more likely to find a higher-quality one.

MinerChance per Claim
Rookie Miner6%
Ironhorn Miner9%
Iron Prime12%
Gold Baron16%

Equipping Pieces

Every miner has two Exploration slots. Pieces must be equipped while a miner is idle — once a mining run has started, its equipped pieces are locked in for that run and can't be swapped until it's finished.

⚡ Exploration Pieces are single-use. Once a mining run finishes and is claimed, the pieces equipped for that run are consumed — equip fresh ones for the next run.
🧠Strategy: stack two MPR pieces for maximum $IRON per run, two Speed pieces to claim more often, or mix one of each for a balanced miner.

Piece Rarity & Miner Rarity

A miner's own rarity influences both how often it finds pieces and the odds of finding a higher-quality piece. Rarer miners are more likely explorers.

⌛Exact discovery odds and current bonuses are always visible in-game before you send a miner out.

Dismantling Gear

Don't need a piece anymore? Any Exploration Piece in your inventory can be dismantled for a small amount of $IRON instead. This is permanent -- once dismantled, the piece is gone.

QualityDismantle Value
Common0.001 SOL
Uncommon0.003 SOL
Special0.008 SOL
Legendary0.025 SOL
⚠Dismantling is a last resort -- an equipped piece boosting a miner's daily $IRON is almost always worth more over time than its dismantle value.
§ 10

🛒 Trading Post

The Trading Post sells consumable items for SOL, separate from hiring miners. It currently offers Energy Potions and Gear Crates.

Energy Potion

Restores energy to any one of your owned miners, scaled to that miner's tier. Use it from the Inventory page on the miner that needs it. Check the Mint page for current prices.

💰A potion always restores the same $IRON value in mining time, no matter which tier it's used on -- it's never a "better deal" on a Rookie Miner vs. a Gold Baron.

Gear Crates

Gear Crates are opened from your Inventory page and always contain one Exploration Piece -- rarity is random, but the crate's type (MPR or Speed) is guaranteed and never random. Each crate type has a Regular and a Golden tier, with Golden costing more but rolling only Uncommon rarity or better.

CrateGuaranteed Type

Phantom Runner's VaultSpeed

Check the Mint page for current crate prices.

QualityRegular CrateGolden Crate
Common60%—
Uncommon27%55%
Special10%35%
Legendary3%10%
🧠Strategy: Regular crates are the cheaper way to fill out MPR or Speed gear; Golden crates cost more but guarantee at least Uncommon quality.
§ 11

🎒 Adventure

Adventure is a free, repeatable way to find gear -- separate from a miner's own Exploration chance. It has a single slot and no cost, but the odds are deliberately weak compared to Gear Crates.

🎒The free Vagrant Citizen (see §04) is the ideal pick for this slot -- since he can't mine anyway, sending him on Adventure costs you nothing.

How Adventure Works

01Assign one idle miner to the Adventure slot (a miner currently deployed to your Mine Crew can't be sent).
02The miner explores for 1 hour.
03Once the timer ends, press Claim to see the result.
04The slot only frees up after you Claim -- it never starts a new adventure automatically.
⚠ Not every adventure succeeds -- your miner might come back with nothing of value.

Claim Odds

Odds are checked the moment you press Claim. If successful, the piece's type (MPR or Speed) is random -- unlike Gear Crates, Adventure never guarantees a type.

OutcomeChance
Nothing found55%
Common39.6%
Uncommon4.5%
Special0.81%
Legendary0.09%
⌛These odds are intentionally worse than any Gear Crate's -- Adventure is a free bonus, not a replacement for the Trading Post.

💰 $IRON Utility

$IRON connects the IRONTOWN reward economy with player progression. Players earn $IRON from their miners' daily rewards and can use it throughout the IRONTOWN ecosystem.

✓Upgrading your Mini Mine (live now)
✓Hiring eligible miners
✓Future miner upgrades
✓Expanding mining operations
✓Unlocking new mine areas
✓Purchasing equipment and improvements
✓Future IRONTOWN gameplay features

The goal is to create an economy where earning $IRON gives players opportunities to reinvest into their IRONTOWN operation.

§ 13

🗺 The IRONTOWN Economic Loop

The IRONTOWN economy follows a continuous gameplay cycle. Every miner earns for its owner alone — there's no shared pool to compete over.

Miners generate MPR
↓
MPR converts into a fixed daily $IRON reward per miner
↓
Players claim finished mining runs
↓
$IRON is used to upgrade your Mini Mine & for future progression
↓
Mining runs can also uncover Exploration Pieces
↓
Equipped pieces boost that miner's MPR reward or Mining Speed
↓
A higher Mini Mine level boosts every miner's daily $IRON
🧠Strategy: build a large crew of miners, chase rarer high-MPR miners, gear them up through Exploration, and level up your Mini Mine to compound every miner's reward at once.
§ 14

→ Progression

Every IRONTOWN player starts somewhere. A small operation might begin with a single Rookie Miner. Over time, players can build toward stronger miners.

Rookie Miner50 MPR
↓
Ironhorn Miner200 MPR

Gold Baron1,200 MPR

There is no single way to build your IRONTOWN operation -- every miner you deploy adds to your own daily $IRON, independent of anyone else's.

§ 15

🛍 Marketplace

⌛Coming Soon -- the Marketplace is not live yet. This section describes what's planned.

The IRONTOWN Marketplace will let players trade eligible miners with other players. All transactions will require confirmation through the player's connected Solana wallet.

▸Browse miners listed for sale
▸Purchase eligible miners
▸List miners you own
▸Cancel your own listings
▸Manage your miner collection
▸Search by rarity and MPR
§ 16

★ Referrals

Every registered player gets a personal invite code and invite link, shown on the homepage after registering. Share it to bring others into IRONTOWN. Eligible referrals may provide rewards according to the current referral program.

During Early Access, a public Invite Leaderboard on the homepage ranks the players who brought in the most people. An invite counts once the invited player links their wallet. When Early Access ends, the top 5 players each receive a random prize, such as a limited-time miner or random Exploration gear.

⚠Self-referrals and attempts to abuse the referral system are not permitted. Current referral rewards and requirements will be displayed directly in the game.
§ 17

⚠ Common Blockers

If an action fails, it may be caused by one of the following:

✗Your Solana wallet is not connected.
✗You do not have enough SOL for network fees.
✗You do not have enough $IRON (or MPR) for the requested action.
✗Your miner is not deployed to the Mine Crew.
✗Your miner's mining run hasn't finished yet.
✗Both of that miner's Exploration slots are already full.
✗All of your Mine Crew slots are full -- unassign a miner first.
✗You have no pending $IRON rewards to claim.
✗The miner you're trying to send on Adventure is currently deployed to the Mine Crew.
✗Your Adventure slot is already occupied -- Claim it before starting a new one.
✗You don't have any unopened Gear Crates in your Inventory.
